Course overview
Course description
This course is the follow on course from 'Dressmaking for Beginners'. It is also the perfect course if you are new the sewing and dressmaking and would like to build your confidence. We will start with the most commonly used seams and stitches followed by identifying different types of fabrics and their uses before we move on to choosing a garment to make. Garment patterns can sometimes look confusing so we will take the mystery out by talking about what all those dots, lines and notches really mean! Then, when you are ready we can start to construct your garment using the stitch and seam knowledge you have gained at the beginning of the course. This course is only for those living in Southampton.
