Congratulations to Aberdeen鈥檚 Bonnymuir Green Community Trust - who鈥檝e picked up the 新澳门六合彩开奖直播 Green Award for their commitment to promoting sustainability in the local community.鈥 

The award ceremony took place at the Trust鈥檚 garden and was filmed by STV News, which has 3.2 million Scottish viewers a month.  

Ray McCowan, our Director for Scotland, presented the award, as well as a runner-up award to community growing organisation, One Seed Forward. 

Led, developed and sustained by volunteers, Bonnymuir Green Community Trust runs a community-owned green space in Aberdeen. It has a vision to create a sustainable hub with an emphasis on promoting greener, carbon-reducing lifestyles within the community.鈥 

The thriving community green space was a worthy winner based on the sheer variety of activities, which members of the local community love to engage in. This includes garden workshops teaching locals how to 鈥榞row your own鈥 vegetables and composting, clothing repair sessions, and information about beekeeping. The community building has also recently changed to become more environmentally friendly with new roofing.鈥 

An exciting initiative from the 新澳门六合彩开奖直播, the Green Award promotes the 新澳门六合彩开奖直播鈥檚 commitment to green matters in adult education. 

The award was created to recognise individuals or groups in Scotland who adopt or promote innovative educational approaches to green issues in creative and sustainable ways. Any individual or self-funding community group can be nominated, and self-nomination is also encouraged. Nominations must show evidence of addressing one or more of the
