This is an introductory maths course for people who are looking to progress to Get Ready for Entry Level 2 functional skills courses. It is a non-accredited adult maths course.

Do you want to start learning English? Come and join First Steps In ESOL. You can meet other people and improve your English skills. Classes are held in a friendly and supportive venue with good bus links from Burnley town centre. This course is for beginners. You can join it even if you have not completed First Steps in ESOL 1. After completing it, you could move onto getting ready for an Entry 1 course such as Get Ready for ESOL Entry 1. The course is running at Linkbridge Community Centre in Burnley. This is a friendly centre where there are other ESOL classes running. The centre is on the bus links from the town centre.

Through Pepys’ meticulous documentation, we will delve into the reign of Charles II, the devastation of the Great Plague and the Great Fire of London, and everyday life during the Restoration period. Including the numerous scandals at court and Pepys’s own behaviour! This course will offer insights into the personal, social, and political landscapes of the time, revealing how one man's observations can illuminate an entire era marked by dramatic events and profound changes.

This will help you become more confident in the way you study. Study skills are not just for this course, they can be used in a variety of ways, for example solving problems in everyday life and managing your time successfully and learning to remain focused on a task.

Ideal for beginners, it aims to equip you with the digital literacy needed for everyday tasks, further learning, and employment opportunities. Throughout the course, you will learn how to operate a computer, use the internet safely and effectively, and navigate key software applications such as word processors and email. The course content includes practical activities like creating and saving documents, browsing websites, and understanding basic online communication tools.

Ready to take your Spanish language skills to the next level? If you have completed a previous beginners course then this is the next step in your journey to fluency. Like to holiday in Spain or Spanish speaking countries or just want a new hobby, then this is the course for you. This is the introductory course which will run for 6 weeks, if you would like to carry on with your classes then the full 12 week course will be following this one. This can be used as a continuing course after the prior beginners course or feel free to join at this stage.
