This practical course aims to provide students with an introduction to issues connected with learning, teaching, training and assessment of adults in a supportive environment. Participants are asked to prepare a short presentation as well as using self and peer evaluation.
Course description
If you would like to be able to teach or train students, colleagues or others, this course is for you. This is a practical course covering some key skills including: planning and preparing sessions; initial and diagnostic assessment; curriculum planning; managing a classroom. This interactive online course explores the role and responsibilities of teachers and trainers and how to prepare sessions. Participants explore how to give feedback and how to feed forward. We examine case studies and discuss different teaching and training approaches. We also explore theories and models as well as ethical frameworks. Participants will prepare a short presentation and use peer and self-evaluation to reflect on their own practice.
