Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you鈥檙e not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
This Basic Digital Skills course is for pre-entry ESOL students who want to learn how to use computers and the internet. In this course, you will learn important skills to help you use digital devices in your daily life. We will start with the basics, such as how to turn on a computer, use a mouse, and use a keyboard. You will learn the names of different parts of a computer. We will also show you how to open and close programs. You will learn how to type simple sentences and use a program to write documents. We will practice using the internet to find information and use email to send and receive messages. You will learn how to stay safe online. This includes understanding passwords, avoiding bad websites, and keeping your information private. The course will have lots of practice activities. You will work with other students and practice speaking and listening in English while learning about computers. We will also have fun games to help you learn. By the end of the course, you will feel more comfortable using a computer and the internet. You will know how to do basic tasks on a computer and understand how to stay safe online. This course will help you use digital skills in your everyday life and improve your English at the same time.
